Technical specification of a 'colloidal'
grout mixer is one in which
the impeller rotates at more than 1000 rpm; the GC25 motor produces
a rotation speed of approximately 1800 rpm. The mixing action
involves the formation of a vortex produced by the impeller speed
and recirculation of the material by tangential redirection back
into the mixing tank, via a three way manually operated valve.
The mixing action promotes greater hydration of the materials
being mixed, and is essential when using thixotropic modern materials,
perhaps containing long chain polymers. Simplicity of construction
and ease of maintenance are key factors in the GC25 design,
the optimum size and style obtained through research and trials.

Spearpoint pipes
Standard 1.5m long, 54mm OD, perforated over lower 300mm, supplied with valve. Extensions available in 1.5m lengths, and also driving head for insertion.
Dual mixer connection
Allows two mixers to be used with one pump giving a continuous flow of grout rather than intermittent batch mixes.
Pressure gauge head
Although all pumps have fitted pressure gauges, this unit allows pressure readings close to the actual injection point, which may be necessary if pumping long distances.
